I plan on going to see The Woman In Black tomorrow too. With some much going on financially for me, I haven’t been able to afford to go the movies. So I need to catch up badly.

I cannot wait for this film to come out…Daniel Craig is returning to play Bond for the third time in the latest Bond film, SKYFALL, but this time the film will debut in IMAX theaters in the fall. The first Bond film ever to be released in this format.

The twenty-third Bond film will be released in IMAX on October 26 and then domestically on November 9, 2012. Co-starring with Craig are Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Judi Dench and Naomie Harris. Directing goes to Sam Mendes.

In this latest film, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested over secrets from her past. When MI6 is threatened, it’s up to him to seek and eliminate that threat regardless of the cost.

Did I say that I cannot wait? I have my favorite Bond films and Craig delivers. I wasn’t sure at first, but he’s grown on me. Again, Oct. 26 for IMAX and Nov. 9, 2012 domestically. I’m marking my calendar. I’ll be back shortly.

Good Afternoon….I’m looking at all the hubbub for this piece of film news. I’m sure some of you heard about this already (and yes, I’m a bit behind, so again, shoot me). I figured Michael Bay was getting ready to direct the fourth installment of TRANSFORMERS, but from what I’ve read, it’s going to be a reboot. Reported by Collider.com.

Yep, according to producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Bay is returning and yes it will be a reboot. di Bonaventura spoke with Josh Horowitz from MTV:

“Yeah Michael’s gonna direct and it’ll be releasing in the summer of 2014. We’re excited and I think the challenge there is we really are gonna do a reboot, and what that’s gonna be we don’t even know yet.” He went further to say,”Well I mean it’s hybrid. It’s not the way–I’m not involved with Spider-Man but what I perceive Spider-Man to be is a redoing of the whole thing, (Transformers 4) is not. It’s an evolution. There’s still continuity that’s going on, and yet there’ll be a lot of new cast. Whether there’s anybody from the (original) cast, we don’t even know yet. But the truth is, it’s gonna be a whole new story. The characters that would certainly come along would be Optimus and Bumblebee I’m sure.”

What about the rumor of Jason Statham joining in? di Boneventura put a lid on that one, “No, it’s so silly. We’ve gotta get a story first. You can’t pick characters until you have a story.”

di Bonaventura is not the only producer to return, Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto and Ian Bryce will also return. Executive producers Steven Spielberg, Bay, Brian Goldner and  Mark Vahradian are coming back on board.

As for the cast, I’m sure we’ll see some from the original films, but as we already know, Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are done with the whole thing. What do I think? Is a reboot really necessary….not really. Even though I enjoyed the first all the way to the third, I really don’t see the need for a reboot. Now I would love to see Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson come back though. We’ll be hearing a lot more from this story. Paramount is looking at a June 29, 2014 release. I’ll return soon….

I finally see The Wolverine and The Fast and the Furious 6 on this list. Of course, more films will be added. They may be changes, so you never know.

Safe House is at the top with $24m. The Vow with $23.6m, Ghost Rider $22m, and This Means War at $17.6m. The Secret World of Arrietty is at $6.38m. Ghost Rider was pretty much a disappointment, but This Means War could’ve come in at third place though. I did read that the film did get an A from CinemaScope. I will say this: it looks like the box office is getting a little better. I’ll return with some film listings….

THE VOW  is still in the league, even though critics are not being kind to the romantic drama. So far the film raked in $7.4M Friday and is expected to take $30M by Monday. Second is GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE, which pulled $7M. CinemaScope’s grade for this sequel is C+ and should go at $24M. SAFE HOUSE comes in third, earning $6.5M so far, but will have at least $27M by Monday.

THIS MEANS WAR is fourth coming at $5.6M, getting an A from CinemaScope and the estimate of $19M. Fifth is JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND at $4.5M. The family action adventure will probably be in third place with $24M. THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY came in at $1.7M Friday…so I’m not sure how much it will take home by Monday.

EW was kind enough to make a list:
